inCharge, the personalised care technology company founded by Karen McCormick, has expanded its product offering with the successful launch of a new provider-focused platform for Spraoi agus Spórt.

The launch marks an important milestone for the company, which is already supporting families and support teams across Ireland and the UK through its established self-directed care platform. Building on that success, inCharge has developed a new provider solution designed specifically for service providers, enabling stronger communication and engagement between staff, families and the people they support.

The new platform was developed in partnership with Spraoi agus Spórt through a collaborative co-design process, ensuring it reflects the needs of organisations, frontline staff and families while keeping the person at the centre of everything.

Karen McCormick, Founder and CEO of inCharge, said:

"Since launching inCharge, our focus has been on supporting families who are organising and coordinating care and support. Through our work with families, providers and the wider social care community, we identified an opportunity to bring the same person-centred approach into provider services.

This launch represents more than a new customer. It marks the expansion of our product offering into a new market and demonstrates how technology can strengthen relationships between providers and families while ensuring the person remains at the heart of their support.”

The provider platform enables staff to securely share updates, achievements, activities and memorable moments with families in real time, helping them stay connected to the person's day-to-day experiences.

By making communication easier and more accessible, the platform helps strengthen relationships, improve transparency and support good governance, while reducing administrative burden through a more modern approach to recording, sharing and evidencing day-to-day support.

Caoimhe Gill, Disability & Inclusion Coordinator at Spraoi agus Spórt, said:

"We are delighted to introduce this new app, which will make communication between our staff and families easier than ever. Parents will be able to see and celebrate their child’s experiences, achievements, and memories as they happen, helping us build even stronger relationships with the families we support."

The new provider solution complements inCharge's existing family platform, which was originally developed to help people, families and support teams coordinate self-directed care and support. That platform is already being used by families to improve communication, continuity and oversight of support arrangements.

The launch also demonstrates the value of the company's long-term technology strategy. While the provider solution introduces new functionality and a dedicated experience tailored to service providers, it is built on the same secure and scalable infrastructure that powers the inCharge family platform.

From the outset, inCharge invested in building a flexible technology architecture capable of supporting future growth, new customer groups and additional product offerings. By building on proven foundations, the company was able to rapidly develop and deploy the provider solution while benefiting from years of learning, co-design and real-world experience gained through working with families and support teams.

McCormick added:

"We made a deliberate decision from the beginning to build for growth. As a startup, that's not always the easiest path, but we believed it was the right one. We wanted to create a platform that could evolve alongside the changing needs of people, families, providers, local authorities and the wider care sector.

The provider solution is a great example of how that investment is now paying off. We have been able to respond quickly to an opportunity, co-design a solution with a trusted partner and launch a new product offering while building on technology that is already proven in practice.

We're incredibly grateful to the team at Spraoi agus Spórt for their trust, insight and willingness to innovate. Together, we've created a solution that strengthens family engagement, supports good governance and celebrates the everyday moments that matter most."

The launch represents the latest chapter in inCharge's growth and innovation journey, with further developments planned for local authority reporting and oversight as the company continues to support more personalised, connected and relationship-centred approaches to care and support.
